1.5.3 Classifications of services

Services can still be understood without having a precise definition, hence the use of the four characteristics to differentiate services from tangible products. Many scholars have also attempted to provide classification systems and conceptual frameworks to increase the understanding of services with Christopher Lovelock being the most prolific.
