2.5.1 Letters
Letters form an important part of an organisation's public image. They can build goodwill, help increase business or adversely affect customer relations and so decrease profits. Often the letter is the first impression that a receiver will have of your organisation so it is worth taking care over and worth following the standard basic components of a letter. These are the letterhead (name and address of the sender); the date; the reader's address; the greeting; the heading; the body of the letter; the closure; and the sender's signature and name.
