Conversations are an everyday occurrence and we tend to take them for granted. This leads us to form conversation habits, good and bad, that may affect our communication.

  1. What are the phases in a conversation?
  2. Can you identify these phases in your own communication?
  3. How many of the conversation strategies on page 86 do you use? Focus on one or a few of these and develop them in your conversations with others. Perhaps focus on one each day until you move through the list.
