8.3.1 Selecting the right visual aid
Presenters should be concerned with three major questions in selecting visual aids: Who is the audience? What is the best type of visual aid for the material? How complex or simple should the visual aid be for the intended audience and material?
The visual aid should reflect the structure of the message. For example:

Visual aids should be used at the same time as the information they describe. When aids are separated from the information they describe, their relationship to those data can be overlooked or misunderstood.
