7.3.2 The Beer Game: The learning tool

The projects given above are not exhaustive given the many options available in the game. It is recommended that you spend considerable time with the various options in order to develop a good grasp of the features of the game. The idea is to observe the outcomes of various inventory policies in different situations. We recommend that you change the default settings for various inventory policies and demand scenarios and play the games taking different roles, and try to determine a policy which would minimise system wide costs under the demand conditions.
