5.3 Types of teams

The following describes common types of teams in a more pragmatic manner. The descriptions reflect the fact many managers are quite pragmatic about how they form teams. Essentially, teams should perform clear roles and achieve the purpose for which they were formed. The type of team that is built may include elements of some, all or none of the types of teams listed below.
