8.3 Occupational health and safety record keeping

OH&S data reporting and record keeping can be conducted to ensure patterns of injury and disease in the organisation can be analysed, reviewed and improved. As part of a national strategy the Australian Government has established a data management regime that encourages industries, sectors and enterprises to standardise their OH&S data reporting. The National Occupational Health and Safety Commission ( http://www.nohsc.gov.au/OHSInformation/NOHSCPublications/ ) establishes reports and national benchmarks for specific industry areas and occupational injury and disease types.
