Analyse the reading from Kunreuther. Now complete the following.

1. What is the risk ' exceedance probability curve'?
2. What is the relationship between uncertainty and risk?
3. Reflect on the problem many managers encounter when trying to convince senior managers to adopt a course of action. Often the suggestion that risks can be managed to avoid future problems associated with a decision/course of action actually causes executives to realise the uncertainties/risks and justify their rejection of action.
4. Is it realistic to suggest risk management is all about removing risks? If so why?
