Planning projects

Overview

In this chapter we focus on the basics as to how projects may be planned. A project manager and key project team members would require much more in depth study than provided here, when establishing the ingredients, purpose and methodologies to support a project. However, we can use project planning to extend our understanding of single purpose plans.

Project may be very simple activities, right through to extremely complex undertakings. In this topic we will focus on project management . Project management deals with the application of capabilities, tools, techniques and resources required to meet a specified outcome, within a timeframe to agreed stakeholder parameters.

Management of any project will require efforts to support the control and predictability of work processes.
