The Institute for Working Futures Pty. Ltd. (acn 22 054466769) is a commercial research and consultancy company. Beginning in 1992 the company's learning model has a focus on training and education that can enable and sustain how individuals, communities and organisations adapt to social, economic and cultural change. It also uses purpose-designed tools and frameworks to foster integrated competency, skill and capability models that build the human and knowledge capital needed for performance and sustained growth.

For over a decade and a half Working Futures® has based its education and capability work on models developed by Dr Marcus Bowles, a founding Director. He has worked with large organisations, governments, and industry bodies in Australia and internationally. This work has resulted in a deep appreciation for how organisations and people can collaborate to achieve shared futures.

Dr. Marcus Bowles, Director
Ph.D., M.Ed., B.A. (Hons), (FAIM, FCILT, FAHRI; and member of various associations IPAA,AHRD, AIMIA, ElNET); Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor (1998), Diploma Training and Assessment Systems (1999), Diploma Business (FLM) (1998).

Marcus has a focus is on capability development and knowledge capital and how they are captured, transferred and enhanced at an organisational, functional, regional and national level. He is especially interested in the deployment of collaborative methods and information and communication technologies that can enable and sustain how people and businesses attain shared futures.
