TAADEL503A Provide advanced facilitation to support learning
Manage learning
This section is not intended to reintroduce the reader to the basics of facilitation techniques and learner management. Nor is it intended to introduce the world of the latest technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Course Management Systems (CMS).
This element of our study concentrates on advanced techniques for maintaining learning in a facilitation session. While earlier readings, especially Reading 1 (Bowles), have dealt with metacognition and more generic skills, all facilitation sessions should be conducted to respect the diversity of cultures, learning styles, abilities and experiences of the people involved.
Echoing back to the paradox introduced at the beginning of this module the following two readings provide a useful perspective on managing learning as a transformation process at the individual and societal level.
